چکیده

The objective this study was to evaluate in vitro the bond strength of two etch-and-rise and one self-etching adhesive system after dentin irradiation with Er:YAG (erbium: yttrium aluminum garnet) laser using microtensile test. The results revealed that the groups treated with laser Er:YAG presented less tensile bond strength, independently to the adhesive system used. The prompt L-pop adhesive presented less microtensile bond strength compared to the other adhesives evaluated. There was no difference between single bond and excite groups. The adhesive failures were predominant in all the experimental groups. The Er:YAG laser influenced negatively bond strength values of adhesive systems tested in dental substrate. 30

Bond strengths of one-step self-etch adhesives to laser-irradiated and bur-cut dentin after water storage and thermocycling.

OBJECTIVE The objectives of this study were to evaluate the microtensile bond strength (μTBS) of one-step self-etch adhesive systems to Er:YAG laser-irradiated and bur-cut dentin after water storage and thermocycling. BACKGROUND DATA The Er:YAG laser is a promising alternative method for cavity preparation; however, no study has compared the effect of laser irradiation and aging procedures on...

Shear Bond Strength of Nanocomposites to Dentin Substrate Treated with Er:YAG Laser Followed by Two Different Bonding Systems

Background and Aim: Preparation of tooth structure by laser systems produces a surface with different characteristics. Therefore, selecting an appropriate bonding system is necessary to achieve the maximum bond strength. The aim of this study was to compare the bond strength of Adper Single Bond 2 adhesive and Single Bond Univer-sal to dentin prepared by bur or laser. Materials and Methods: ...

Influence of free-hand vs uniform irradiation on tensile bond strength in Er:YAG-lased dentin.

PURPOSE To compare effects of free-hand and mechanically applied uniform irradiation on tensile bond strength of 4-META/MMA-TBB resin to Er:YAG laser-irradiated dentin using an X-Y moving stage. MATERIALS AND METHODS Three different laser conditions were evaluated: 1.0 W, 100 mJ/pulse, 10 pps; 1.0 W, 50 mJ/pulse, 20 pps; 1.0 W, 33 mJ/pulse, 30 pps. Samples of bovine dentin were set on a movin...

Bonding of self-etching and total-etch systems to Er:YAG laser-irradiated dentin. Tensile bond strength and scanning electron microscopy.

This study investigated the effect of Er:YAG laser on bonding to dentin and the interaction pattern of different adhesive systems with the lased substrate. Tensile bond strength of a self-etching [Clearfil SE Bond (CSEB)] and two total-etch [Single Bond (SB) and Gluma One Bond (GOB)] systems to lased and non-lased dentin was evaluated and the adhesive interface morphology was examined by SEM. D...

Tensile bond strength of single-step self-etch adhesives to Er:YAG laser-irradiated dentin.

OBJECTIVE The purpose of this study was to evaluate the influence of Er:YAG laser irradiation on the bond strength to dentine of three single-step adhesives (AQ Bond Plus, G-Bond, and Clearfil Tri-S Bond), and one two-step self-etch adhesive (Clearfil Megabond) as a control. BACKGROUND DATA The vast majority of the numerous reports on resin bonding to Er:YAG-lased dentine have concluded that ...
